A drug and alcohol assessment is the initial service in which we work together to identify your relationship with substances to include alcohol and other drugs. If you are seeking services due to a legal matter, the results of your assessments will, with your permission, be shared with the appropriate agencies. This session is conducted in person in a one-on-one setting and takes up to two hours.
Based on the outcome of your assessment, these one-on-one sessions are offered both in-person at the clinic or via teletherapy. If you choose to work on substance issues only, you will work with your assigned substance use professional towards meeting specific goals and objectives. If you choose to engage in other mental health counseling in addition to substance use counseling, you will also be connected with a clinician through our sister clinic or be provided with additional referrals.
ADIS is our nine hour education course regarding the use of alcohol and drugs while driving. This class is designed to help individuals, who do not have a diagnosed substance use disorder, identify how substances can affect not only their minds and bodies, but also have lasting effects on their lives.
This course includes the victims panel required by Washington State.
Outpatient services for substance use disorders refer to non-residential treatment programs that provide structured therapy and support for individuals with mild to moderate substance use issues. These services arel delivered in a flexible setting that allows individuals to maintain their daily responsibilities like work or school. Treatment is usually scheduled for a few hours per week.
Intensive outpatiend treatment is outpatient drug or alcohol rehab on a higher level, with a more intensive schedule than other outpatient programs. An IOP provides nine to twelve hours per week of substance group therapy, usually during the evening hours.
Deferred prosecution is a treatment program designed to help individuals facing DUI or other charges in Washington State. The primary goal of this three phase program is to provide an opportunity for participants to explore substance use issues, ultimately leading to the dismissal of their charges upon successful completion.
